A bit of a change

November 11, 2013 Leave a comment

Just a small change. I have changed the subtitle to reflect that there isn’t a freelance element. Right now we are doing archive work pro-bono and since the first project we’ve been working on has taken far longer than I expected, we just aren’t available.

Yes, this page is still active

Hello world.
We are still working on the archives of a Presbyterian church in Maryland and we are seeing the near end. We just have to order something for the photographs.
We’ve been working with the papers of this church, which is about 100 years old as an organization, for nearly a year. The work is voluntary and a helpful experience professionally. Though I do work with my spouse, another archivist, it does take me back to my lone arranger days.

Tap, tap, tap Hello Washington DC

This is the first blog entry for the website we hope to launch as soon for persons such as myself who have years of experience in the archival field. Some of us have years if not decades of processing, or organizing or reference experience, and we believe this experience can be used to help small organizations, businesses, and churches. We are familiar with archives and libraries in Washington, DC, such as the Library of Congress, the National Archives, the Washingtonia Division of the DC Public Library, and the various archives and libraries at Howard, Catholic, George Washington, Georgetown and other DC region colleges and universities.
We’re still testing our business model out at this time. So please tune back in to see how we progress.
